All of these oils are rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, so they help seal the outer layer of the hair - the cuticles - making it even. To use hot oils, just heat a cup of your chosen oil (to an intermediate temperature) and gently massage it into your hair for a few minutes - use your fingertips, making circles to stimulate circulation as well.

Cover your hair with a warm towel and leave for 30-45 minutes or overnight if you pack in the evening. After this time, wash your hair with shampoo and rinse well.



2. Egg mask

While you may not like the smell, eggs are great to nourish the hair of the proteins they need and to fortify, strengthen and restore moisture. When your hair is very dry, mayonnaise - which is also rich in protein - can be added to the mask to accentuate the effect of this food.

You have to mix the yolks of three eggs in a bowl, add two tablespoons of olive oil and a tablespoon of honey. Apply this mask on the hair - including the scalp - cover the head with a shower cap, leaving it on for about thirty minutes. Rinse your hair with cold water and shampoo.

4. Prepared with yogurt and oil

Yogurt and oil together are also another DIY treat, easy to make and a lot effective for dry hair. Add half a cup of plain yogurt to two tablespoons of olive oil and six drops of an essential oil (of the fragrance you like). Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Apply the mask on your hair and wear a shower cap to leave on for 15/20 minutes. Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water and then shampoo.
